Taipei, April 14 (CNA) Cooler weather can be expected in northern Taiwan starting Sunday due to a passing front and strengthening northeasterly winds, the Central Weather Bureau said.

From Sunday until Thursday, daytime highs in northern Taiwan will drop to 22-25 degrees Celsius, with a low of 16 degrees expected at night and during the early morning hours, the bureau said.

That would be a fall of more than 10 degrees compared with the warm weather this week, the bureau said, advising the public to watch out for the dramatic temperature fluctuations.

Meanwhile, the approaching front is expected to bring showers or thunder showers to northern, central and eastern Taiwan between late Saturday and Sunday, according to the CWB.
