Taipei, Oct. 31 (CNA) A Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies (TRCCS) was officially established at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand Tuesday, according to National Central Library (NCL) in Taiwan.

This is the third center established by NCL in southeast Asia after Vietnam and Malaysia.

According to NCL, the new resource center is equipped with 737 books as well as digital resources on Chinese and Taiwan studies. It also marks an important milestone for the New Southbound Policy launched by the administration of President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文).

NCL also held an exhibition titled "The Beauty and Grace of Thailand - An Exhibition of Thailand in Taiwan Memory" at Chulalongkorn University, ranked No. 1 in Thailand, which showcases Taiwan's impression of the southeast Asian country.

The library has partnered with prominent universities around the world since 2012, establishing TRCCSs that provide academic resources and introduce research by Taiwanese scholars. There are currently 28 TRCCSs overseas.
