Taipei, April 20 (CNA) The 11th annual Taipei Fringe Festival (TFF) will bring more than 120 artistic groups to the city in August to perform in multiple locations, according to the event's organizers.

At present, 125 artistic groups are scheduled to give 473 performances at 27 locations at the festival, being staged from August 4 to 19.

The TFF has continuously pushed the boundaries in setting up venues, incorporating the likes of professional theaters, yachts, coffee shops, tea houses and old mansions.

The event this year will shift its focus to western Taipei and the historical and cultural Dadaocheng area.

Performance venues will include the Red House, a western-styled red-brick octagonal structure, the Dadaocheng Theater, the Bopiliao Historical Block and many others.

This year's TFF will also have two-hour time-slot venues, which will challenge performing groups to set up, perform and pack up within two hours.
