Taipei, Sept. 26 (CNA) The 2017 Taiwan Design Expo is slated to open Sept. 30 in Tainan with one main exhibition area and six satellite exhibition areas with a total of eight pavilions, officials at a pre-expo press conference said Tuesday.

The expo will take place on National Cheng Kung University's (NCKU's) Sheng-Li campus.

The main exhibition area in NCKU's old library includes the Southern Breeze Pavilion and the Theme Pavilion.

The other exhibition areas include the Craft Tainan Pavilion at Wu's Garden Culture Center, the Emerging Designers Pavilion at the Blueprint Cultural and Creative Park, the International Pavilion at NCKU's C-Hub, the Folk Arts Parade Gallery at Creative Tainan, the Living Pavilion at the 321 Arts Village and the Experience Pavilion at the Tainan Cultural and Creative Park.
