Taiwanese should to tune in at 9:00 p.m. Sunday at to see "what exciting stories Xie Ya-zhen (Xiao Zhen, the teenage psychic) will tell us this week," Tsai said in a Facebook post.

The high ratings of the TV drama, produced by Taiwanese in cooperation with HBO, "have boosted our confidence in Taiwan's film industry," the president wrote.

"The Teenage Psychic," the first HBO Asia Original series produced in Taiwan, has attracted high TV ratings not just at home but elsewhere in Asia.

Guo, who plays the main character Xie Ya-zhen, also encouraged Taiwan audiences to watch the final two episodes that will air on Public Television Service channel.

"Do two things for me," she said in a Facebook post. "First, do not say anything bad about the director after watching the ending. You'll understand why after that."

"Second, she said, "invite your relatives and friends to watch the final episodes and hug each other afterwards. Why? You'll understand after watching the ending."

In the TV drama, Xiao Zhen is a teenager who possesses psychic abilities and must learn to juggle between school, temple duties, and a high school crush.

As Xiao Zhen uses her powers to help the living deal with their loved ones on the other side, she must also manage the pressures of teenage life and the demands of the spirit world, according to HBO Asia.
