Taipei, April 9 (CNA) Lin Hwai-min (林懷民), founder and artistic director of the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, said he recently started to learn to walk again after a car accident injured his right leg late last year.

A saying has it that human life starts from age 70 -- it does make sense, Lin said on a wheelchair during a rehearsal of the troupe's dance "Rice."

Lin had a bone fracture from the accident and has been on a rehabilitation program for nearly four months.

Cloud Gate has performed the "Rice" in 24 cities around the world, bringing the image of rice paddies in Taitung County's Chishang Township to the globe, said Lin.

The troupe will bring the "Rice" to cities in East and South Asia and Europe in April, May, and October.
