Taipei, Aug. 10 (CNA) A number of Taiwan-based airlines announced changes Friday to their flight schedules for Saturday due to Tropical Storm Yagi, which was heading toward Japan's Ryukyu Islands.

EVA Air said it had canceled its round-trip flights BR186 and BR185 between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Okinawa.

Tigerair Taiwan flight IT230 from Taoyuan to Okinawa will depart ahead of schedule at 5:50 a.m., and the return flight IT231 will also leave earlier at 9:10 a.m.

The carrier canceled flights IT288 and IT289 between Kaohsiung International Airport and Okinawa, and postponed flights IT232 and IT233 between Taoyuan and Okinawa until Sunday, with departure times to be announced later.
