Taipei, March 17 (CNA) Air Canada on Friday launched a promotional drive targeting its Taiwan service, which is set to be resumed on June 9 after a 14-year hiatus.

From now until April 10, round-trip economy-class fares between Taipei and Vancouver will cost as low as NT$17,000 (US$555), before taxes and charges, for each passenger.

Meanwhile, from now until March 24, round-trip premium economy-class and business-class fares will cost as low as NT$35,175 and NT$79,356, respectively, before taxes and charges.

Sky Express Co., the general agent for Air Canada in Taiwan, said the resumption of Taiwan service by the air carrier is expected to attract a large number of Taiwanese travelers to Canada, especially because this year happens to be the 150th anniversary of Canada and the 80th anniversary of Air Canada.
