Jakarta, Aug. 29 (CNA) Taiwan's Yang Yung-wei (楊勇緯) got a golden score in a sudden-death playoff against North Korea's An Jae-yong to win a bronze medal in the men's under-60 kilogram judo at the Asian Games Wednesday.

The score was earned after Yang's opponent was given three shido points against his one.

Earlier that day, in the event's quarterfinals, Yang was outmatched by Uzbekistan's Diyorbek Urozboev, a bronze medalist in the 2016 Rio Olympics, but then defeated Mongolia's Amartuvshin Dashdavaa to advance to the semifinals.

Urozboev went on to win the gold medal in this weight class. The silver medal went to Japan's Toru Shishime. South Korea's Lee Ha-rim also won a bronze. (Bt Lung Po-an and S.C. Chang)
