Jakarta, Aug. 27 (CNA) Taiwan's badminton world number six Chou Tien-chen (周天成) made his way to the men's singles final at the 2018 Asian Games Monday, defeating Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia 16-21, 23-21, 21-17.

Ginting and Chou had played each other four times previously, three of which were won by the Indonesian.

Chou's win means that this is the first time a Taiwanese men's singles shuttler has headed for a gold medal showdown at any Asian Games.
