Taipei, June 9 (CNA) Taiwan's Tseng Chun-hsin (曾俊欣) defeated the top-seeded Sebatian Baez of Argentina in the boys' singles final at the French Open in straight sets Saturday, capturing his first Grand Slam title.

Tseng, the fourth seed at the tournament, came from behind to win the opening set 7-6 (7) after trailing 1-3 in the first four games and getting tied at 2-2, 4-4 and 5-5 in the tiebreaker.

The 16-year-old won the second set 6-2 more easily, taking an early 2-0 lead and rallying to win the final two games after forging a 4-2 lead.

Shortly after winning the boys' singles title, Tseng and his compatriot partner Ray Ho (何承叡) failed to clinch the boys' doubles title, after losing the final to the pair formed by Naoki Jajima of Japan and Ondrej Styler of the Czech Republic in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
