Singapore, Oct. 22 (CNA) Taiwanese tennis player Lee Ya-hsin (李亞芯) lost to Australian Megan Smith 5-7, 6-1, 5-10 in the U16-category finals of the WTA Future Stars tournament in Singapore on Sunday.

The 16-year-old said she was too nervous in the third set and that caused her to lose focus.

However, Lee's coach Wu Pei-ling (吳佩凌) praised her for having played well during the tournament. Although Lee failed to win the event, she learned invaluable lessons by competing with quality players from around the world, Wu said.

Lee is the 14th ranked player in Taiwan's national rankings for 16-year-old tennis players.
