Taipei, Oct. 7 (CNA) The duo of Chan Yung-jan of Taiwan (詹詠然) and Martina Hingis of Switzerland continued their nearly year-long hot streak at the China Open on Saturday, advancing to the women's doubles final after overcoming a slow start.

The Chan-Hingis duo, seeded first in Beijing, stumbled out of the gates to lose the first set 6-2 to third seeds Peng Shuai (彭帥) of China and Sania Mirza of India before rebounding to take the second set 6-1 and clinching the win by taking the super tiebreaker 10-5.

They will face fourth seeds Timea Babos of Hungary and Andrea Hlavackova of the Czech Republic in the final on Sunday.

If Chan and Hingis win, it will be their fourth tournament title in a row, after taking the 2017 Western and Southern Open, the U.S. Open, and the Wuhan Open, and their ninth doubles title this season.

Hingis currently ranks first in the Women's Tennis Association doubles rankings with Chan following at number two.
